ADMISSION POLICY:
Acceptance and admission to Cornerstone Recovery Systems residential recovery
programs will be limited to adult Kings County residents (18 yrs and
older) whose primary problems are due to alcoholism or drug addiction.
Applicants will be screened with the following criteria:
All admissions are voluntary. Applicants must be willing to participate in
all aspects of the program.
Applicants must be free of alcohol/drug use for a minimum of 72 hours prior
to admission. (Detox Services are available if needed).
Applicants must not have a need for any mood altering drugs and must not
require extensive medical treatment.
Applicants with pending Court matters need to either get them resolved or
have any pending Court dates set at least 60 days after date of entry into
program. We want outside distractions kept to a minimum while you are here.
Applicants must be ambulatory, able to care for themselves in the event of an
emergency.
Applicants must be mentally competent and not require extensive psychiatric
treatment.
Applicants must be free of communicable diseases and applicants lifestyle
must be compatible with program environment (social model concept).
Should a resident, for some reason, experience a drinking or drug use
episode, he/she will be discharged from the program. Any participant who is
either discharged or voluntarily leaves the program will not be considered
for re-admission for a minimum of 30 days.
Note: All admissions are contingent on the availability of bed space in the
respective program.
