OBJECTIVES & PURPOSES:

To provide information assessment, reception, education, and referral to individuals of the community, in conjunction with alcohol and/or other drug problems.

To provide social model detox services for individuals volunteering themselves while in withdrawal from alcohol/drugs when deemed appropriate.

To provide drop-in services to recovering persons and his/her families or significant others. This includes a variety of support groups for all.

To provide residential treatment and recovery services for men and women adults using residential and non-residential phases in a clean and sober environment. The program is peer oriented, involving the experiential learning process, while providing food, needs, and shelter. Individuals entering the program do so on a voluntary basis, wanting to recover primarily from alcohol and/or drug related problems. The recovery home is a supportive, extended family, drug free atmosphere, mutually protected by participants and staff.

To sponsor special events such as social and recreational activities for recovering persons, through family and the supportive community that responds to those needs.

To enhance partnerships in the community (i.e. churches, agencies, other non-profits) to promote education and work together for community alcohol/drug problem prevention.

Note: As of June 30, 2009, Cornerstone has suffered a cut off of County funds due to a redirection of County plans for alcohol/drug treatment. Cornerstone is currently in a state of flux and is in the process of assessing it’s financial situation and future goals to determine if we are able to continue providing alcohol/drug services in this community, and in what capacity. Rather than change all the current information listed on this site at this time, it will be left as is with this notice that the information may or may not be accurate as far as what services we are currently able to provide. We will keep this site updated as further developments unfold.
